Hardneck garlics all produce ‘garlic whistles’ in the spring, which are best removed to increase bulb yield, this is easily accomplished by including them in salads, stir-fries, or throwing them on the grill! Hardneck garlics tend to have a more full bodied flavor that softnecks and typically peel more easily, but they don't store as long and ya can’t braid ‘em.
