GROW GARLIC!

Hard Neck

Hardneck garlics all produce ‘garlic whistles’ in the spring, which are best removed to increase bulb yield, this is easily accomplished by including them in salads, stir-fries, or throwing them on the grill! Hardneck garlics tend to have a more full bodied flavor that softnecks and typically peel more easily, but they don't store as long and ya can’t braid ‘em.

Soft Neck

Softnecks do not produce ‘whistles’ which makes them slightly lower maintenance than hardnecks. The softneck is key to making beautiful garlic braids, and they store longer than the hardnecks.
